Poetry • “Bare Minimum”

i never complain
i never ask for much
i only hope
someone would ask,
“how was your day?”
is that too much?
damn
don’t make me hope, man
i know
you have your miracles,
oh creator
but you seem to enjoy
teasing me
come on
i’m not a cheap man
even though
i fall in love
too often

RAWGUE.’s 4th issue delved into the grey, moody, and cold atmosphere of winter. Yet it did not sink into the depths of madness or depression. Instead, it embraced this season of hibernation, allowing 31 artists from all over the world to present their timid work beneath a veil of quiet beauty.
