Sara Albe is a versatile photographer from Italy. Her portfolio consists of portraiture, concert, artistic, family, and wedding photography, as well as product and branding series.
Albe infuses every project with her unique sensitivity and graceful style that has developed over time.
“Photography entered my life at an early age, with rolls of film full of crooked and imperfect photos that nevertheless represented my inner world. Thanks to passion and perseverance, I acquired the fundamentals of the profession, becoming aware of the emotions and stories I wanted to convey through my shots,” she says.

Albe permeates her works with care and tenderness. Her exhilarating visuals, living on the border of light and blurred vision, glisten with life, warmth, and benevolence. As the photographer puts it so clearly and honestly, “I love the magic of photography and capturing the simple and unique soul of the world”—an endeavor she successfully achieves. By blending elements of long and multiple exposure, the artist focuses consistently on the interaction between light and skin, highlighting the beauty of her subjects. Through experimenting with various techniques across fine art, conceptual, and editorial photography, Albe offers a clear glimpse into her intentional pursuit of capturing that magic.

The artist is not literal in her portraiture. Through her lens, she sees more than a subject or a human form. She sees the essence of a person that is about to appear in the photograph. Albe employs various techniques, shadow play, and the influence of light to create poetic images resembling baroque paintings and movie stills. In her work, she is guided by the “non forzare nulla” rule. “I believe in the importance of capturing moments without forcing the scene or reality, allowing situations to develop naturally and spontaneously,” Albe concludes.

The 31 artists featured in RAWGUE. Magazine’s 5th issue stray from the expected, taking untrodden paths, contemplating imperfection, solitude in its many forms, and the ongoing process of self-acceptance. Through shifting perspectives, their works explore what it means to look at oneself from the outside, as if through broken glass.

We’re a team of writers using our craft to spotlight art in its most honest form. RAWGUE. started as a bi-monthly editorial experiment where each issue’s theme is dictated by the submitted work, thus removing editorial bias from the equation and preserving a more raw approach. We focus on all forms of poetry: written, photographed, painted, drawn, and filmed.
