Tomasz Załęski is a photographer based in Poland.
Reminiscent of Nobuyoshi Araki’s provocative work, their series titled “Ero Psycho” seems to rather explore the voyeuristic interdependence between soul and sex (the Psyche and the Eros), rather than plain nymphomania. In this series, the model appears vulnerable, scrutinized under the dim, unflattering lights of a bathroom backdrop. Flaws are exacerbated; rebellious instincts kick in forcefully, guided by rudimentary direction.
The artist’s intrusive participation reinforces the concept that sex and nudity are no longer novelties. This sentiment is further solidified by the famous line from Roman playwright Terence: “I am a human being; I consider nothing human alien to me” (Homo sum, humani nihil a me alienum puto), which Załęski adopts as his editorial motto.

RAWGUE.’s 4th issue delved into the grey, moody, and cold atmosphere of winter. Yet it did not sink into the depths of madness or depression. Instead, it embraced this season of hibernation, allowing 31 artists from all over the world to present their timid work beneath a veil of quiet beauty.
