Self-described amateur photographer from Italy, Antonio Conte, captures street scenes and nature alike.
Many of his frames evoke the sense of a hidden camera, catching subjects deep in their thoughts and conversations or running errands. All that with the tangible pulse of the city in the background.
The high-contrast street photography of Conte is a relevant example of retro-meets-experimental, where the unique style is still in its infancy. Until then, the artist’s vision focuses on isolating the actual street noise from the main point of interest, which can vary from a single person to a whole landscape.

In the end, the presentation is diligently delivered, and the quality level blends harmoniously with the idea Conte wishes to convey.

In the 3rd issue of RAWGUE., 24 visual artists and poets share a common pursuit: authenticity over perfection. The subtle art of becoming, the passage through various stages of artistic contemplation, the ever-shifting states of mind, feeling, and medium, or the act of altering reality to underline emotion or meaning – metamorphosis.

We’re a team of writers using our craft to spotlight art in its most honest form. RAWGUE. started as a bi-monthly editorial experiment where each issue’s theme is dictated by the submitted work, thus removing editorial bias from the equation and preserving a more raw approach. We focus on all forms of poetry: written, photographed, painted, drawn, and filmed.
