From the photographer Kim Weijland and the poet Sabine Weijland from the Netherlands, we present the collaborative project.
The project “explores how trees, fields, and fog move together like a musical composition—forming a natural symphony.” It marries the idea with words and the image with a concept, bringing to mind Pythagoras’ reflection: “There is geometry in the humming of the strings; there is music in the spacing of the spheres.”

Kim is a “cinematic visual storyteller” whose fables are told through landscape and portrait photography alike. “Here to express, not to impress”, Weijland’s portfolio impresses nonetheless—with the air of effortless, intentional focus.
Sabine is a poet known for her emotional depth, sensitivity, and mastery of metaphor—“playing” with language to reveal layered meaning.
A Symphony Across the Fields
Sabine Weijland
Branches sway as trees perform a sonata of nature’s song
daylight drifts like silk between their limbs
The mother tree awaits the gentle caress of mist
her ancient bark remembering every whispered dawn
Rising together in a symphony of life
roots humming secrets the earth has longed to keep
Above the drum of sounds, the pasture breathes
grasses swaying, rising, falling—softly, quietly
The wind’s violin carries its longing wish
casting trembling hope, echoing through the open fields.

RAWGUE.’s 4th issue delved into the grey, moody, and cold atmosphere of winter. Yet it did not sink into the depths of madness or depression. Instead, it embraced this season of hibernation, allowing 31 artists from all over the world to present their timid work beneath a veil of quiet beauty.

We’re a team of writers using our craft to spotlight art in its most honest form. RAWGUE. started as a bi-monthly editorial experiment where each issue’s theme is dictated by the submitted work, thus removing editorial bias from the equation and preserving a more raw approach. We focus on all forms of poetry: written, photographed, painted, drawn, and filmed.
