Federico Pedranzini, based in Milan, excels in framing. Each photograph is a meticulously carved piece of a bigger picture.

As he describes it himself: “Every photo I take must be […] a different piece of a large puzzle that finds its place alongside others and fits together.” Vivid urban scenes and portraits pulsate with life and energetic symmetry.

Even though his frames are carefully selected and curated, they are not forced or staged. Pedranzini is an alert observer. His process is to wander and notice; in his own words: “You walk around looking for beauty. Then beauty is there, waiting for you, sitting on the street. […] Beauty happens.” His photography is an opportunity used, a moment caught, and scenery appreciated.

Pedranzini’s street photography follows well-defined perspectives, framing each shot in disciplined golden ratios, without miscalculations or any form of hesitation. The urban and personal project is defined by the ideas and concepts of a professional who has done the homework and is willing to sacrifice the extraordinary for the benefit of correctness and authenticity.

Brilliant portraiture worthy of fashion editorials and visually pleasing and crisp monochrome shots, combined with a diligent attention to detail, clarity, and solid knowledge of how a camera works, are some of the properties that stand out the most.
